Programme 3 Bickering and discontent! More drama than a TV Soap. No wonder Project Manager John Sanders renamed the street 'Grief Street'. Lots of disputes about fences. Charlie tries to negotiate with Michelle and Fiona about the trellis, paint colours and who should have the posts on their side of the adjacent gardens. Landscaper Danny looks glum after a row with Allan Flint about, yes, you've guessed it, fencing! John acts as mediator and the fencing is rebuilt to Allan's specifications, only to have Allan's wife Deborah insist that it's rebuilt as it was originally. John and Cynthia complain that the upright stones in their Japanese garden are too small. Charlie indicates how high they need to be. A second lorry load of bigger stones, weighing up to a ton each, arrives on site. The couple reject these as being too big!

Charlie - the negotiator Landscaper Danny - not a happy man! Problems with the stones for the Japanese garden Charlie decides the height of the stones but the Marson's are not convinced

The surplus stone is deposited in Alistair's garden for when he arrives home from work, on the basis that there's always be a lot of stone in a Finnish garden! After all the earlier disputes you expect more grief, but Alistair is quite nonchalant, and gets down to laying the 800 granite sets. David Jones looks at his massive, multi-level decking that dwarfs Charlie, whilst Michelle's pergola and water feature are starting to take shape. But will neighbours Michelle and Fiona agree about the colours?

Only another 600 to lay! David Jones' decking, decked out with Charlie Dave Jones wanted a 'blokes garden with bar, pond and barbecue' Michelle's pergola is taking shape

Programme 4 sees work begin on the water features. Maybe the gentle sound of trickling water will calm everyone down. Charlie visits Alistair's mum in Finland to find out what a real Scandinavian garden looks like. Let's hope it has lots of stone!
